HERE ON THE COAST…
Mourning light on palm.

Why did I make this photo? A combination of things. The pale yellow light of the sun just cresting the horizon. The juxtaposition of the palm leaves and its shadow. The few elements that make up the minimalist photo. The negative space of the wall asymmetrically counterbalanced by the mass of the palm leaves kin the corner.

Do you find that photographers notice how light affects things, and detail.
