Accessible only by 4WD, just before sunset, we drove to the top of the promenade of where there were staggering views over ’s black sand beaches complemented by the glittering waves of the Atlantic on one side, and distant mountain scapes to the other.

On top of stands Dyrhólaeyjarviti, a beautiful old lighthouse.

This is a long exposure taken during winter while I was standing on the edge of the mountain. It was a bit scary as no barriers in sight and quite windy.
