Hello fellow tooters in my fediverse and local verse Am v v v pooped. Too pooped to toot much but sending this into the WholeVerse waves Unfortunately I’m not sure exactly which peak this is Could b Mt Walker Just don’t know my geography is v poor. However it is about 10km out of Aratula on way to Cunningham gap Hope if u face mountains to climb in life (don’t we all) You can reach the top today. My top is managing to get changed today. #util-#linux just merged support for the new #mount-#api.

In addition to direct support for #idmapped #mounts via -o X-mount.idmap= it brings a lot of other nice features.

The highlight for me is support for the mount_setattr() system call which I added in 2019 or 2020 (not sure right now).

This means the kernel can now atomically clear and set all mount attributes recursively. Clearing and setting mount attributes is also idempotent with mount_setattr().
